Everything you need to know about Evia

Welcome to Evia, the place where we met, and spend our European summers.
We hope you can join us for our pre-wedding party in Panagia, Evia, on Saturday 26 June 2027.

  • By ferry

You can catch a ferry to Evia from Agia Marina. Depending on the day, it will either go directly to Panagia or to Nea Styra, which is just a 15-minute drive from Panagia. Tickets can be purchased on the day, at the port.

    • Travelling without a car? No problem! If you're arriving by ferry and don’t have your own transportation, just let us know and we’ll help arrange a pickup from the port.

    • Cost: Approximately €5 per person, or around €26 for one person traveling with a car.

    By car

Evia is connected to the mainland by a bridge, so you can easily drive to the island.

    • Route: From Athens, the drive to Panagia takes approximatley 2.5 hours.

    By bus

There are public buses from Athens to Evia, with routes that connect to nearby towns.

    • Note: Public buses are not a tourist service, and may be difficult to navigate for non-Greek speakers.

    • Please contact us for assistance if you are planning to travel by bus.

    • We will also help you arrange transport from the closest drop-off point in Evia to Panagia.

    • Cost: Approx €10 per person.

    By taxi

You can take a taxi from Athens to Agia Marina, then hop on the ferry to Nea Styra or Panagia.

    • Arrival support: If you’re arriving this way, let us know your travel plans and we can assist with travel from the ferry to Panagia.

  • If you don’t have transportation

We recommend staying in Panagia along the beach. This way you’ll be able to walk to the local tavernas, bars and mini market.

If You Have Your Own Transportation

If you’ll have your own transportation, we recommend staying in Panagia, Porto Buffalo, or Zarakes if you wish to be close to where we will be staying and hosting our pre-wedding party. These areas are quiet, peaceful and more of a traditional Greek village experience.

If you’re looking for a livelier area with more restaurants, shops, and amenities, Nea Styra is a great option, that is only a 15 minute drive away.

All areas are on or close to beaches and beach bars.

    Accommodation Options

There are not many hotels in the area, as Airbnb and private bookings are most common.

Please contact us if you'd like to be connected with local hosts who don’t advertise online. These are often the most budget-friendly options available.

    Hotel recommendations

Please note: Our wedding falls during peak season, so we recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible.
